So, after a very, very long break. Possibly two full kids later, I’ve decided to restart this blog. I’ve tried doing parenting, home-schooling, hell, even political blogs but it just doesn’t hold my interest in the same way this sort of geek-dom does.

So, what have I been up to?

Well, when I originally started this blog I had one kid, a son, and a lot of time on my hands. Now, I have two additional (girls) kiddos, two dogs, a cat and a much larger home that takes up a very large portion of my time. That doesn’t include when I’m trying to do my OWN writing – because, yes, I am a writer. Been obsessed since I could read.

How are things going to be different?

Well, I still plan on reviewing things, but I’m older now – my interests are different and I’m not as obsessed with certain things as I used to be. K-dramas for one; that isn’t to say that I’ll never watch one again, but I’m not as obsessed as I used to be.

I do have plans for some off-topic reviewing. One of which I’ll probably write tonight about the world of fanfics, something I’ve been looking into that I have found to be… interesting. I am all for pure canon, but I cannot blame people who want to explore the idea of something going in a different direction in a popular story.

As a veteran mother, there are a few things, tropes, and otherwise in movies that I also just don’t see in the same way anymore because of my experiences as a parent. Don’t worry, this isn’t suddenly going to be some kid-centric thing. What I mean is how cinema views and portrays the relationships of parent/child – it’s a rabbit hole if you really want to delve into it and one, I admit, I really hate about Hollywood.
